People have many insecurities, for some it’s weight, for others it may be their clothes or how their hair is looking that day. One insecurity that mentioned less frequently is how people feel about their feet. Many people wished their feet were more attractive. Here’s 10 things you can do to improve the look of your feet.
- Moisturize – Keeping your feet moisturized and soft with lotion (dry feet are never attractive). The skin on your heels can actually split from being too dry. Not only is this unattractive, but also can be painful
- Nail Polish – Whether it’s a funky bright color or even just a clear coat, it really makes your feet look nicer to brighten up your toe nails. It puts the focus on the ‘prettiest’ part of your feet.
- Toe rings – To add some flair and style to your feet, add a toe ring or two, but not more. You want just enough to add a little extra sparkle.
- Decorative sandals – Sandals are inexpensive and come in so many different varieties. Don’t settle for one of two pair to wear during the summer months, buy several different pairs. Cute sandals will automatically mean cute feet.
- Keep them trimmed – We mentioned nail polish, but regardless of whether you use polish or not, keep your toe nails neatly trimmed. Long nails can snag on carpet and break. Longer nails will also be harder to keep clean. Cut them straight across and file the edges smooth. This goes for guys and gals.
- Buffing your heels – Heels can easily become calloused and rough. Use a pumas stone to buff them daily to keep them soft and smooth. Always moisturize afterwards.
- Keep them clean – When you’re wearing socks and shoes, a daily shower will generally be all that’s required to manage this. When sandal season comes around, the daily grime may require a little extra scrubbing, or good long foot soak.
- Wear shoes that fit well – Shoes that are too tight or too loose, can cause callouses, blisters and even deformities of your feet. If you want beautiful feet, wear shoes that fit well and are comfortable. Your toes should never feel pinched.
- Cuticles – Use an orange stick to gently push back the cuticles on your toe nails after a shower or bath. This will help show off the beauty of those toe nails. This is a definite ‘must’ before adding polish.
- Pedicure – Of course, for the best looking feet, schedule yourself regular pedicures at a salon. Ask for the spa treatment and get a soak, foot massage and your toes painted too. For something extra special, have the nail technician add some nail art.
Everyone wants their feet to look clean & cute. It just takes a little bit of effort, and you can be confident that your feet look their best for a day at the beach or for the times when you pull out those open toed shoes for a dressy occasion. You’re going to look great!
