I vividly remember the looting in the 1977 blackout in NYC. I was a student then at UCSB, in California. I thought to myself, what keeps us civilized? If the lights go off, and then we start to attack our neighbor. I just read how the laws of society broke down in my country of Mexico, during the past six years. Now I read about gasoline lines after Hurricane Sandy devastated the North East Coast of the US.
I ask myself now, how long before there are riots in NYC?
