"Nannies typically work a longer day than most other childcare providers. Their daily schedule needs to accommodate their employers’ non-traditional hours and flexibility requirements. Plus, they need to provide coverage for their employers’ morning and evening commute. When you add in their daily commute, nannies are often away from their homes for 12 to 14 hours a day. It’s very hard when you’re working that type of extended schedule to fit a regular workout into the day, much less feel energetic enough to head to the gym for a training session or class."
